Son of a Perverse and Rebellious Woman

Abstract:
There's a bit of irony in the statement - since Saul himself is "perverse and rebellious," and since he goes on talking about how Jonathan's behavior shames his mother.

Body:
At one point in the Saul vs. David story, Saul turns on his own son, Jonathan, and calls him a "son of a perverse and rebellious woman" (NIV). I think that's a phrase I'm going to add to my idiolect. It's quite a bit more cumbersome than our usual American English "son of a...." expressions, but not quite as humorous as Steve Martin's "son of a motherless goat."

There's a bit of irony in the statement - since Saul himself is "perverse and rebellious," and since he goes on talking about how Jonathan's behavior shames his mother. Is Saul the perverse and rebellious woman?
