The Gospel According to Tarantino

I'm going to be doing a 4-week Bible Study called The Gospel According to Tarantino. No joke. A clip from Four Rooms will launch our session on money and greed, Kill Bill will be about revenge (naturally), Pulp Fiction will be about second chances, and the fourth will be a recap of sorts, but will talk about movies and the gospel in general.

The Bible study immediately following will be another 4 weeks on Bible Stories You Never Hear in Church. We'll be having frank discussions of the sexuality and power politics in Ruth and Esther, exploring potty humor and violence in the story of Ehud in Judges, maybe hitting Jepthah as well before we finish.

I've been seeing and hearing a lot recently which is leading me in this direction.
